Anaerobic,Aerobic and Coagulation Treatment for Integrated Effluent from Cardboard Paper mill
In pulp and paper mill,the integrated effluent from repulping,refining,washing and cleaning section mixed with white water of the paper machine from cardboard paper mill using domestic or imported OCC as raw material is one of the most bothering issues in China.In this paper,a three stages treatment process to treat the integrated waste water in a laboratory scale,including anaerobic,aerobic and coagulation treatment,was discussed in detailed.The results shows that after being filtrated simply with grille,the integrated effluent can be treated with two steps of biological process combined with one step of coagulation process,and the chemical impurities,including COD,BOD,colored substances and turbidity can be removed efficiently.The results shows that after anaerobic biological treatment,effluent become easy to be biologically treated,and after aerobic aeration treatment,the BOD5 of the effluent from the clarifier is lower than 25 mg/l,and the BOD5 total removal ratio of the process is as high as 90%.The results also shows that when polyaluminum silicate chloride(PASC)was used for the color removal for the effluent from clarifier,the dosage of 4mg/l is enough to remove 95% of the colored substances.Being treated for three stages,the effluent is limpid and clear,the BOD is lower than 30 mg/l,the COD is lower than 50 mg/l,the turbidity is lower than 3 FTU,and the chromaticity (absorbency)is lower than 0.04.The water quality of the treated effluent is higher than the discharge requirements by the National Effluent Discharge Standards in China
