Study on the Filtration Character of Membrane Bioreactor by Adding Coagulant
When using membrane bioreactor for wastewater treatment,it is found that the addition of coagulant can improve the filtration character of the process.The study revealed that while the MLSS=600Omg/L and the Fe2(SO4)3 adding quantity is 100 mg/L,the membrane resistance reduces 34%,the flux increases about 1/3.Fe2(SO4)3 addition has little effect on the MBR effluent quality.Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM)analysis displays the adding of Fe2(SO4)3 can change the structure and the porosity of the fouling cake.The pores in the cake with Fe2(SO4)3 addition are bigger and irregular,and the cake structure is looser.The structure is of benefit to the flux enhancement.
