Research on Neutral-Alkaline Sizing of Straw Pulp with Cationic Rosin Sizes
With the rapid development of neutral to alkaline papermaking and more application of straw pulp in our country,neutral-alkaline sizing of straw pulp get more and more attention.In this paper neutral-alkaline sizing of straw pulp with cationic rosin sizing agents was investigated.The cationic rosin sizes had uniform size distribution,high Zeta potential and better stability.It can be stored for 6 months without stabilizer.The best process conditions of neutral sizing with cationic rosin sizes were obtained by discussing influence factors such as pH value,filler dosage,retention effect and aluminum sulfate dosage,as well as by comparing its with sizing effect with that of AKD sizes.Results indicated that the cationic rosin sizes can realize neutral sizing better and alkaline sizing generally.It also provides foundation for obtaining rosin sizes with better sizing effect of straw pulp.
