Study on Pretreatment Methods for Oxygen Bleaching of Ethanol-alkali Pulp of Aspen
Before oxygen bleaching of ethanol-alkali pulp of aspen,three kinds of pretreatment methods by alkali,acid(diluted sulphuric acid),and acidic DTPA were used to pretreat the pulp,and the effects were studied.The results showed that both acid and acidic DTPA were good for pretreatment before oxygen-alkali bleaching,markedly improving the brightness of oxygen bleached pulp and protected carbohydrate.Among them,acid pretreatment was the best.The optimal conditions for the acid pretreatment were pulp consistency 3％,pretreatment time 40 min,temperature 50℃and acid dosage 1.5％.Under these conditions,the brightness and viscosity of pulp after oxygen-alkali bleaching were increased by 4.88％ and 104.83 units compared with the case without pretreatment.For the acidic DTPA pretreatment,the optimal conditions were pulp consistency 10％,pretreatment time 45 min,temperature 80℃ and dosage of DTPA0.25％.Under these conditions,the brightness and viscosity of pulp after oxygen-alkali bleaching were increased by 1.6％ and 175.69 units compared with the case without pretreatment.
