Study on Ozone in ECF Bleaching of Acacia Sulfate Pulp

Acacia farnesiana willd is a species of growing-fast wood used for papermaking.After oxygen delignification,ozone bleaching of Acacia sulfate pulp is researched in this paper,especially on the effect of different ozone charges on kappa number,viscosity,brightness and HexA content of bleached pulp.In addition,the relationships among kappa number,viscosity and brightness are analyzed respectively.The results show that 6kg/odt of ozone charge is optimum when incoming kappa number is between 6 and 8.Meanwhile,viscosity descends a little while kappa number dramatically reduces.The turning point of the corresponding kappa number from ozone delignification to bleaching effect lies at approximately 5.3.
