Development of the Disk Antenna Array Aperture Synthesis Millimeter Wave Radiometer
The disk antenna array aperture synthesis millimeter wave radiometer operating at 8ram band was developed by Electromagnetics Laboratory (EML) of Beihang University (BHU). The instrument consists of a disk array of 10 horn antennas,a rotating platform, receivers,a data acquisition subsystem, and a PC. It was completed in July 2006,and the testing and imaging experiments were carried out. The instrument imaged the artificial point source and the solar transit scene, which shows its imaging performance. The system configuration, calibration, and preliminary imaging results of the instrument are presented in this paper.
