Comparison of the Performance of Corrugated,Smooth-Walled and Diagonal Horns at 500GHz
There are many types of feed horns which can be used to couple a free-space beam into a waveguide. Here we simulated the performances of three kinds of feed horns,corrugated horn,smooth-walled horn and diagonal horn. The calculation results at 500C;Hz show that the corrugated horn has the best performance,but is relatively difficult to fabricate. On the other hand,as the best choice,the smooth-walled horn has the quite good performance and is the easiest one to manufacture. Detailed simulation results are presented.
