THE EFFECTS OF THE GRAIN GROWTH OF DROPLETS ON CORONA DISCHARGE IN MIST

Results concerning the effects of the grain-size variation on corona discharge in mist are presented and discussed.Three different grain sizes of mist in experiments are performed in a rod-plane type electrode arrangement.It can be confirmed that the grain sizes of mists are shown to have a marked erfect on the corona discharge development.It is also illustrated that there may be fierce competition between electric field distortion and ionization by electron attachment in mist,and which is the main factor due to the grain size of droplets.
