PRODUCTION OF METHANOL AND C2H4 FROM METHANE VIA DBD REACTOR
Production of Methanol and C2H4 from CH4 and O2 has been experimentally studied at ambient pressure and atmospheric pressure using a micro-gap dielectric barrier discharge respectively more than 400Td, 10eV and 1015/cm3 in the discharging gap.Various technical effects of oxygen content, total flow and water-vapor content has been clarified. Our results showed that a combination of input values as oxygen content=4% has been concluded to be optimum for production of methanol and C2H4.Methane conversion was declined with increasing the total flow and at the flow of 1350 mL/min methanol yield has been reached 7.5%.It has been proposed that the value can be largely enhanced by adding vapor.Methane conversion and methanol yield has been respectively 51.5%and 4.2%at the water-vapor content of 4%.
