THE INFLUENCE OF COAL DUST ON THE CURRENT OF CORONA DISCHARGE AT HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRIC FIELD

Using a negative tube-wire Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP),the influences of concentration and diameter of coal dust particles on the discharge current are investigated when the gases are associated with coal dust flowing through the tube-wire ESP.Some results have been obtained as the follows:First,to the same type of coal dust,when the concentration is relatively low,the current increases compared with that in the absence of coal dust;when the concentration exceeds a particular value,the current falls compared with that in the absence of coal dust.Second,to the same gases with a high concentration of coal dust,the decreasing value of current falls with the increase of coal dust diameter.However,to the same gases with a low concentration of coal dust,the raise of current increases with the increasing of diameter of coal dust.The reasons about the phenomena mentioned above have been discussed.
