EXPERIMENT OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTROSATICS FIELD THAWING

In order to improve the thawing technique and the thawing efficiency of the high voltage electrosatics field(HVEF),the author investigated the effects of various physical parameter on the thawing rate of HVEF.The ice contained in the petri dish was put in HVEF,which was made up of a multiple pomt pole and a plate pole.By changing the voimge,the distance between the two electrodes as well as the gap between the two neighboring needles,the factors related to the thawing rate are quantitatively studied.The results indicate that HVEF can improve the thawing rate significantly,when the distance between the electrodes and the surface of the ice is constant,the rate of the thawing increases nonlinearly with the supplied voltage.When the supplied voltage is not changed,the ice thawing rate is changed with the gap between the two neighboring needles and when the electric field intensity is not changed,the ice thawing rate is changed with the distance between the two electrodes.When the distance between the two electrodes is 9 cm and the gap between the two neighboring needles is 6 cm,the thawing rate is the largest.
