STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF LIGHTING CHANNEL HEIGHT AND SOIL RESITIVITY ON LIGHTNING RADIATION FIELD
The approach for lightning research has been increasingly improved.In addition to the direct measurement of lightning current and artificial trigger of lightning,measurement of lightning radiation electromagnetic field is also of an effective approach for the evaluation of lightning current.The lightning radiation electro-magnetic field and its propagation are affected by the characteristics of radiation source point,observation point,and propagation path.Based on reviewing the calculation of lightning radiation electromagnetic field above perfeCt conductor ground,the expression of the lightning radiation field above lossy ground is derived rigorously.The influences of the height of lightning channel,observation point height,and soil resistivity on the lightning radiation magnetic induction intensity are analyzed respectively.Both the effect of observation point height less than 200m on lightning radiation magnetic field and that of soil resistivity less than 10kΩ·m can be neglected.Taking into account the effects of several factors,numerical calculation of lightning radiation magnetic field is carried out in this paper.
