A New Network Based on Vector Address

摘要：

A new communication network is proposed, called Vector Network (VN). VN uses a switching address different from the networks today, e.g. IP and ATM networks, and has several important advantages due to the special switching address (Vector Address): (1) There is no address-table to lookup for forwarding data in a switch of VN and, as a result, the switch and network itself are simplified largely. (2) The network can be expanded unlimitedly in size because there is no limitation to the number of Vector Addresses. (3) It is a connection-oriented network so that QoS can be guaranteed.
