Underwater Target Active Tracking System Based on DSP and FPGA

The acoustic signal processing system is the most important part of the underwater target tracking system.This paper presents the hardware design of the signal processing system,based on the ADSP-TS201 and FPGA.The solution of the hardware platform and the FPGA interface logic design are given,and the time-delay estimation algorithm and its DSP software implementation are also introduced.The hardware platform provides high performance in digital signal processing and the DSP software design task becomes easier through the proper FPGA interface logic design.The experiment shows that the system could accomplish the time-delay estimation of two underwater targets in high-precision and could meet the requirements of underwater target tracking.The study has applicable value in engineering.
