Decomposed Selected Mapping for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction in MIMO-OFDM Systems

To reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of multiple input multiple output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM),a decomposed individual selected mapping (D-ISLM) algorithm is proposed in this paper.The real and imaginary part of the transmitted signals are treated separately,thereby,a sufficiently large number of alternative transmit signals are provided,and the significant PAPR reduction performance can be obtained with the same computational complexity as conventional SLM.Moreover,a decomposed concurrent selected mapping (D-CSLM) is proposed to reduce the side information furtherlly.Simulations results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional SLM algorithm in MIMO-OFDM systems.
