Properties of High-Yield Pulps and Their Applications in Papers and Paperboards

摘要：

Chemi-mechanical pulp,often referred to as high yield pulp(HYP),has been widely used in multi-ply boards,wood-free papers,tissues,fluff pulps and other specialty papers.The unique properties of HYP such as high bulk and high opacity are advantageous for many paper grades and paper boards.This paper reviews and compares the properties of some HYP pulps,including BCTMP,APP/APMP and PRC-APMP.The process parameters that affect HYP properties are also discussed.
