INTRODUCTIONImidazopyrazinone compounds such as 2-methyl-6-phenylimidazo1,2-α pyrazin-3(7H) -one(CLA) 1 and 2-methyl-6-(4-methoxyphenyl) imidazo1,2-αpyrazin-3(7H) -one(MCLA) 2 have been widly used as chemiluminescent probes for detecting superoxide anions in biological systems(Fig.1).
