DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL BIOLUMINESCENT ASSAY FOR NITRIC OXIDE BY USING SOLUBLE GUANYLATE CYCLASE
INTRODUCTIONNitric Oxide(NO) has been known to be involved in many biological processes including vasodilatation and neuronal communjcation.Soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC),which is a well-knownNO-sensor,plays an essential role in signal transduction with respect to enzyme initiation for the conversion of GTP to cGMP in the NO signaling cascade, leading to the concomitant production of pyrophosphate(PPi).
