Eco-environmental damage evaluation in Shenfu mining area by GIS

摘要：

Taking Shenfu Mining area of Yulin City in China as a ease,the cco-environmental damage evaluation of mining area was explored. The ecological environment of Shenfu mining area is seriously damaged by long-term coal mining. The area of the first and the second grades account for 50.7％ of the total area,mainly in the centre of the Shenmu county. That of the third grade accounts for 32.0％. And the fourth grade accounts for only 17.3％. And its revealed that eeo-environmental damage grades have an obvious reverse relationship with the coal distribution. The severe erosion and desertification is the direct reason of deterioration of the Shenfu Mining area. Incontestably,coal mining is the indirect reason of it.Therefore,the study has noticeable significance to the restoration and protection of mining area land.
