Research on Fully Mechanized Top-coal Caving Mining Technology for Complicated Geological and Close Distance Coal Seams in Huaibei Mining Area

Based on the characteristics of loose coal quality and complex geologic structure in close distance coal seams in Huaibei mining area,fully mechanized top-coal caving mining technology has been adopted and replaced the slice mining technology which is traditional and conservative,through mining designing,expert judgment and beforehand mining in test working face. Techniques of surrounding rock controlling and faults crossing were studyed,and top-coal caving hydraulic support of model ZF6800/19/38 was designed and manufactured. The results showed that the coal production was safety and high efficiency,faults crossing was rapid and reliable,the roadways were good formation and new type hydraulic supports had stable operation. Optimistis economic and social benefits were brought to Huaibei mining area,and the research had opened a new field for the application and popularization of fully mechanized top-coal caving mining technology in complicated geological and close distance coal seams.
