Application of the Cluster Analysis Technique for quality control purposes in the iron ore industry
Studies of multivariate data analyses have been performed by using the cluster analysis technique. The objective of the study is to estimate the Fe,SiO2,Al2O3,P and Mn grades for lump ore,sinter feed and pellet feed frees products,from a run of mine database,containing the percentage of lithologies of push backs and the corresponding chemical grades split by size fractions. This study sheds light on the estimate of products generated from the run of mine,for the techniques are complementary to the use of descriptive statistics of historical data.
