Environmental Aspect Management of Rock Excavation by Explosives with Deming Cycle
Mine operations firstly near to cities, was cause of many conflicts in several countries, involving generally, the neighbours of surrounding communities and the mine enterprise. The unitary operation of rock blasting is considered strategically; by determining the subsequent efficiency of the operations and processes within the productive mineral chain,as well by constituting a generating activity of denominated negative effects typically denominated as environmental impacts. At the present time the necessity of the quality control, guide us to an approach of the Total Quality Management (TQM);this,by his generality tries also to be applied to the primary fragmentation system by explosives. In this way,the present paper contemplates the application of the PDCA cycle (Plan,Do,Cheek and Act),more knowledge as Deming cycle,to rock blasting operation management, with emphasis to environmental aspects control trying its continuous improvement.
