Decision Making for Plant Species Selection in Mined Land Reclamation Plans through MADM Model
During the lifetime of an open pit mining project, each stage from exploration activities to exploitation and mine closure produces disturbances on the mining region. Mined land reclamation plans establish constructive solutions to rehabilitate the disturbed areas. Selecting the appropriate plant species,is one of the most important activities in this respect. In all type of post mining land uses, selection of suitable plant species have to carry out on the basis of the primary factors. Then, priorities between the chosen species are defined on account of the secondary factors. This is achieved by using a MADM model. This model is implemented through AHP method. The developed model presents alternatives of plant species based on the priorities for each reclamation plan. The procedure has been applied to Sungun open pit copper mine in Iran as a case study in this research. In the case study, the procedure was carried out by Expert Choicell software. Finally sensitivity analysis shows that the oral judgments and the consensus of a group of experts involved the project,is the main effective factor in creation of the priorities.
