Influence of the inner planetary gear on the dynamic loads of the reducer

Considering the meshing stiffness and damping of the gear pairs and stiffness of the bearings,the dynamic governing equations of an inner planetary gear reducer with three axes are established based on the lumped mass method. The re-search on the dynamic characteristics of the reducers with different number of inner planetary gears is studied. By nu-merical simulation,the dynamic load coefficients of the reducer are obtained. It is found that the mass unbalance of the inner planetary gears will result in severe vibration strongly,the dynamic load coefficient of the reducer with one inner gear is the largest and the dynamic load coefficient of the reducer with three inner gears is the lowest. Therefore it is a desirable way to increase the number of the inner gears in the reducer in order to improve its dynamic characteristics,and the reducer with three inner gears can be used in higher speed condition.
