Research on anti-corrosion property of high-solid epoxy/polyurethane coating of magnesium alloys
Epoxy polyurethane (ER/PU) coating is of high isolation,anti-corrosion and high adhesive strength with metal substrate,which blocks effectively or slows metals to erode in corrosive environment or solution mainly including Cl-,SO42-,NO3-etc. In this paper,mechanism and effect of corrosion protection of the polyurethane (PU) coating on magnesium alloys with or without addition of epoxy (ER) resin is studied. The results indicate that both of them improve anti-corrosion properties of magnesium alloy evidently,and the latter is better. In addition,consequences of immersion test in 3.5wt%NaCl solution,loss weight test by analytical balance,salt spray of 3.5wt%NaCl solution,adhesive force and hardness test,electrochemical test and body-style microscope photos all proved the point of view mentioned upward.
