Finite element analysis of dynamic stress of the outdoor unit of air conditioner

The pipe system is an important element of the outdoor unit in the air conditioner,and it is easy to cause stress and vibration problems due to excitation from compressor and other parts.Such problems may eventually lead to fracture failure.To solve the fracture failure problem in exhaust pipe,which a domestic air-conditioner manufacturer has encountered,finite element method was applied to analyze the dynamic stress of pipes.Some suggestions for optimizing the pipe system are proposed.For instance,the thickness of pipes and the rigidity of the exhaust pipe should be changed in order to avoid rcsonance.
