Kinetic and Thermodynamic Study of CdCl2 Volatilizing in Air Atmosphere
Med at the characteristic of MSWI fly ash in China that high content of chlorine,the volatilization of cadmium chloride (CdCl2)was studied.Firstly the volatilization under air atmosphere of cadmium chloride(CdCl2)was modeled employing Gibbs free energy criterion,Subsequently,the heating rate,that influenced the volatilization of CdCl2 was characterized on basis of experimental observations derived by means of a high temperature TG-DTA system.With the results of the thermodynamic analysis this paper also worked out kinetic models of the volatilization of CdCl2 The results show that: between the temperature bound(300-1200K),the volatilization process of CdCl2 mainly is the phase change of CdCl2, crystal,it also creates zinc oxide(CdO)indistinctively;the volatilization curves shift with increasing heating rate towards higher temperatures,and the volatilization ratio and temperature eigenvalue increase on certain degree;a1/2-order kinetic model can describe the volatilization reaction accurately.
