Nitrogen Removal in Constructed Wetland Wastewater Treatment System:a Review
With industrial development.the lack of water resources caused by water environment pollution became more and more serious.Constructed wetlands are among the recently proven efficient technologies for wastewater treatment.Compared to conventional treatment systems, constructed wetlands are low cost, are easily operated and maintained and have a strong potential for application in developing countries, particularly by small rural communities.A key function of the wetland would be provided additional N removal. This paper summarizes in formation on current method use for CW wastewater treatment and briefly gives basic information on nitrogen removal in wetland:sediments infiltration, plant absorption and microorganism dinitrification. The papers further considerations are about the effecting factor to nitrogen removal, such as temperature,O2,residence time and C:N ratio etc.
