Thermodynamic Study on Low Concentration Phosphate Adsorption Palygorskitenano-Compound Material
It was compared the adsorption capabilities of three kinds palygorskite nanometer compound materials-aluminum hydrate. Iron hydrate and aluminum and iron hydrate coated on palygorskite(PNCM Ⅰ,PNCM Ⅱ and PNCMⅢ)in low phosphate concentrations in this paper, and we studied the phosphate adsorption mechanisms of palygorskite nanometer compound material through adsorption isotherms experiments. The results showed that there were favorable performances on phosphate removal and temperature did not affect the removal efficiency between PNCM Ⅰand PNCM Ⅲ,and they belonged to the L-type adsorption isotherm equation while PNCM Ⅱ was an S-type.Adsorption isotherms of three kinds palygorskite nanometer compound material fitted to Langmuir isotherms equation.Because of the △H>0, △G<0,△S>0,and the △G values of PNCM Ⅰ,PNCM Ⅱ and PNCMⅢ were between-22.0~-29.12kJ/mol, -8.75~-13.13kJ/mol and-25.91~-34.61kJ/mol respectively, the phosphate adsorption on PNCM Ⅰ and PNCM Ⅲ were spontaneous, endothermic and the coexistence of physical adsorption and chemical adsorption.and PNCM Ⅱ was spontaneous, endothermic and physical adsorption. They were entropy-increasing processes of palygorskite nanometer compound materials.
