Numerical Simulation of Biomass Co-Firing with Coal
Pointed to the 400t/h tangential boiler,the software of FLUENT was used to simulate the concentration distribution of CO2,and H2O when co-firing coal and biomass(wheat straw,maize straw and wood dust)which was under the difierent ratios.The simulation results showed that CO2 emissions could be obviously decreased under simultaneous increase of other important greenhouse gases by a co-firing of biomass and coal.Furthermore,H2O took a part of heat so that the efficiency of boiler was declined.In a word,the ratio of biomass should not be more than 10% in practical application; otherwise it would result to more disadvantages than the advantages.
