1 IntroductionThe Nobel Prize Committee decided in 2007 to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore and the working groupagainst“Global Warming.This award demonstrated that world peace and the protection of the environment areintercormected.It also showed that there is a growing awareness of the relationship between world peace and theenvironment for maintaining sustainable quality of life.
