WAVE PROPAGATION IN FUNCTIONALLY GRADED PIEZOELECTRIC THIN-FILMS

The method of reverberation-ray matrix (MRRM) is modified and extended to analyze wave propagation in FGPM thin-films.State equation for each layer is derived and its solution in form of traveling wave functions is presented.Phase and scattering relations are derived from the compatibility conditions of physical variables in dual coordinates,and continuity/boundary conditions at interfaces/surfaces,respectively.The two kinds of relations are further combined to yield the characteristic equation,based on which numerical results are presented.
