EFFECT OF THE HEAT SOURCE MODEL ON THERMAL PROCESS DURING LASER WELDING OF THE DIFFERENT MATERIAL

In this paper,the laser welding process of 3-D cylinder shell is simulated by FEM ABAQUS.Firstly,the numerical simulation method is instructed.The effect of the welding speed and latent heat of fusion on the welding temperature distribution are considered.Secondly,the heat source model and its effect on welding temperature field are studied.Gaussian and Double-ellipsoidal heat source models are employed for laser brazes welding in this study.Numerical results show that the temperature field distribution and the shape and the size of the weld pool are different because of the different heat source.It should be depend on the type of the welding to choose the heat source model.
