A NEW THEORY AND A NEW METHOD FOR ANALYSIS OF PIEZOELECTRIC LAMINATED COMPOSITE PLATES AND SHELLS
A new theory and a new method for analysis of piezoelectric laminated composite plates and shells are presented. The new theory is based on higher-order shear deformation theory, intelligent constitutive relations and transient variational principle. The new method named spline meshless method is based on theory of piezoelectric laminated composite plates and shells, cubic B-spline partitions and variational principle. This method not only has the advantage of finite element method and finite strip method, but also is superior them. The main advantages of this method are few numbers of unknown, simple program, few input datum, short computing time, low storage, higher accuracy and wide applicability.Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate that this method is an effectual and economic method for analysis of piezoelectric laminated composite plates and shells.
