NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF COMPOSITE PROJECTILE PENETRATING TARGET
The process of composite projectile penetrating target was analyzed using FEM code LS-DYNA,in the simulations the mechanical responses of the warhead case were described by the failure model of composite material.The analysis indicated that the flexural rigidity of warhead could be improved to ensure the integrity of warhead during penetrating target by increasing the strength of composite material or extending the overlapping length of steel nose with warhead case.
