SIMULATING 3D SURFACE CRACK BY FINITE ELEMENT TECHNIQUES BASED ON MARC
Based on MSC Marc software,this paper realized the automatization of parameterization and modularized modeling.The modularized finite element modeling and contact techniques were adopted to simulate the semi-ellipse surface crack.Modeling methods include radial singular unit meshes in the crack front and boundary conditions of crack model by finite element contact technique.First the singular stress field of the crack front was simulated and the far field stress of the crack model was realized.Then according to the linear elastic finite element theories,the paper calculated the distribution of stress intensity factor on crack front curve,and fitted the crack front using orthogonal extension of the discrete nodes at crack front,thus the general frame of crack continual extending model is built.
