ON THE INTERFACE MODELING FOR HETEROGENEOUS MATERIALS USING MESHFREE METHOD
A discontinuous Galerkin meshfree method is presented to model the heterogeneous material interfaces for potential problems such as steady seepage flow and heat conduction.Under this framework the meshfree particles sharing with the same material properties are classified as one particle group.The sub-domains occupied by different particle groups are then linked using the discontinuous Galerkin approach where an interface flux is constructed based on the flux information from neighboring sub-domains.No additional unknowns like Lagrange multipliers as well as special interface functions are required in this formulation.The efficacy of the proposed method is numerically demonstrated.
