EXPERIMENT STUDY ON SUBGRADE SETTLEMENT
In order to find out the rules of roadbed sedimentation,a set of experiments,supported by sufficient data involving construction,reconnaissance,testing and so on,were carried out at K32+400 section of ShiMan highway.Finally 98 data sets were achieved,and three conclusions were drawn based on the curve built upon them.Firstly,subgrade settlements included initial settlement,consolidation settlement and the second consolidation settlement.Secondly the settlements of filling soil layer during construction were mainly initial settlement and consolidation settlement from newly filled materials.However,the settlement of old soil mass was relatively small,only about less than 20％ of the total settlement.Thirdly,the main settlement in operational phase was section compression settlement in small numerical value and slow speed.
