THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON THE SERRATED FLOW IN AA5456 ALLOYS
The effect of temperature on the serrated flow in tensile tests of AA5456 alloys under a certain strain rate is presented in this study.In the tests,with increasing temperature,the amplitude of serrated flow and critical strain all increase,however the variation of reloading time and flying time is complex.Luders band is also discussed.The experimental results demonstrate the strong dependence of serrated flow on temperature,which is discussed with dynamic strain aging.
