NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF HETEROGENEOUS WOOD-BASED COMPOSITE
Dynamic Youngs modulus of wood-polystyrene foam composite was measured by nondestructive testing.Predicting model of Youngs modulus of wood-polystyrene foam composite was discussed.This study has shown that Youngs modulus of wood-polystyrene foam composite can be predicted from polystyrene foam thickness by simulation formula.The model Eq.(3) can be used to predict Youngs modulus of wood-polystyrene foam composite from Youngs modulus and volume fraction of wood veneer and polystyrene foam when M=0.50~1.00.
