A NEW PREDICTION METHOD OF DEFORMATION INTERVAL OF SURROUNDING ROCK MASS IN UNDERGROUND ENGINEERING
The uncertainty of the macro equivalent deformation of surrounding rock mass after excavated is caused by the high-heterogeneous rock mass.So the agreement between the deterministic deformation and the measured deformation is often difficult.For overcoming the limitation of the deterministic analysis methods,a new integral forecast method of deformation interval is presented based on the rock mass quality index GSI(Geological Strength Index) and RMR.The intrinsicheterogeneity of rock mass is considered in this method.Finally,it is applied in the deformation interval forecast of surrounding rock mass in the underground powerhouse of Jinping II Hydropower Station Project.The results indicate the good utility of this method.
