STUDY ON CRACK RESISTANCE OF STEEL FIBER REINFORCED CONCRETE

The mechanical and thermodynamic performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) and ordinary concrete (OC) have been compared by experiment and FEM simulation.The results show that: (1) the tensile strength and toughness of SFRC is bigger obviously than that of OC,(2) the temperature grads and temperature stress of concrete are decreased,(3) the strain of SFRC is less 20-40% than that of OC 3days after pouring.Hence SFRC not only has advantages of higher final tensile strength and toughness,but also less the prior temperature stress caused by hydration heat,which is advantageous to prevent early crack.
