PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF GRAPHITE AND CARBON FIBER MODIFIED CONDUCTIVE ASPHALT CONCRETE
By the means of Marshall Stability Test and Four-Point Bending Fatigue Test, this paper provides an investigation on the pavement performances of graphite-modified asphalt concrete with different graphite contents.Test results indicate that the lubricated effect of graphite shows negative influence on the Marshall stability and fatigue performance of asphalt concrete. The addition of a few discontinuous carbon fibers brings reinforcement effect to asphalt concrete.By adjusting the component fraction of graphite and carbon fiber, such new-type asphalt concrete meets the relevant requirements of pavement performances.
