ASYMMETRIC BENDING OF BI-DIRECTIONAL FUNCTIONALLY GRADED CIRCULAR PLATES
Based on the three-dimensional elastic theory and assuming the material properties having an exponent-law variation in the thickness and radial direction,asymmetric bending of bi-directional functionally graded circular plates is studied in this paper using a semi-analytical numerical method.Numerical results show that the bi-directional functionally graded circular plates have better performance than homogeneous material plates and unidirectional functionally graded material plates.And bi-directional functionally graded material is a potential alternative to the conventional unidirectional functionally graded material.
