FLAT PUNCH INDENTATION ANALYSIS OF HONEYCOMB STRUCTURES USING IMPLICIT HOMOGENIZATION SCHEME
In this paper,localization behavior of honeycomb structures indented by a flatpunch is simulated by use of an implicit incremental homogenization scheme.Finiteelement analysis of the homogenization problem is performed by analyzing a halfdomain of a unit cell,on which point symmetrical boundary conditions are imposedon the assumption that internal stress and strain distribute point symmetrically withrespect to the center of each unit cell.It is shown that qualitatively the samelocalization behavior as in experiments appears in the macro-structure.
