DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF CARBON FIBER SMART LAYERS

摘要：

The carbon fiber smart layer is a new type piezoresistive sensor composite ofspecially produced carbon fiber and matrix materials which has good static sensorcharacteristics.The dynamic response of carbon fiber smart layer is studied by axialtensile testing at different strain-rate.A time-delay in the dynamic response wasfound in the test,and it isnt sensitive to the strain rate.The result shows a strainrate effect on the gauge factors which is similar to the strain rate effect on the tensilemodulus.
