TWO-DIMENSIONAL PROBLEMS OF QUASICRYSTALS WITH AN ELLIPTIC INCLUSION OR HOLE
The two-dimensional (2D)problem of an elliptic inclusion embedded in infinitesolid of quasicrystal (QC) materials is studied. The generalized Stroh formalism isadopted here, and the closed tbrm solutions are obtained for the inclusion problemwith remote uniform loading. The special cases in which the inclusion is rigid or avoid are also investigated. In addition,a general method for solving the 2D problemsis applied in a novel way to obtain the displacement and stress fields of QCs.
