EFFECTS OF SEVERAL PARAMETERS ON THE ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF CONDUCTIVE ASPHALT CONCRETE
Electrical conductive asphalt concrete is one interesting approach forsnow-melting and maintenance of asphalt pavements due to its excellent electricalproperties.The electrical properties are determined by a number of parameters.Effects of temperature and cyclic loading on the resistivity of conductive asphaltconcrete are conducted in this paper.Indirect Tensile Fatigue Test(ITFT) was selectedto evaluate relationship between the resistivity and fatigue life.The results show thatresistivity increases with the increase of temperature.And the variation of resistivitycan reflect the micro-structure change of asphalt concrete during ITFT.Thisrelationship also offers the possibility for the structural health monitoring of asphaltpavements.
