DESIGN OPTIMIZATION OF CROSS-SECTION OF CRASHWORTHY BEAM AND ANALYSIS OF ENERGY ABSORPTION UNDER IMPACTING LOAD
In this paper,a new reinforced thin-walled beam is presented by structuraloptimization.The shape optimization is performed by defining sample curve with themain control point,interpolation point and fixed point.Thus,only three designvariables can control the sectional shape of the rib.The ideal point method is adoptedto construct the multi-objective optimization including energy absorption,specificenergy absorption and initial peak force.The proposed reintbrced beam has higherenergy absorption performance compared to the empty square beam and thefoam-filled beam.
