INVESTIGATION OF MATERIAL PERFORMANCE OF RPC BASED ON RECYCLED RUBBER CRUMB AS PART AGGREGATE
Improved mix designs have been developed which use rubber crumb as aggregate in RPCin this paper.Different sizes of rubber particles as aggregate are considered and differentmixture ratio was obtained.Then it has been studied that the influence of a cement sand ratio,W/B(water-binder) ratio and content of fibre on strength,impact resistance and fluidity ofRPC from aggregate based on rubber crumb,at the same time the durability of the materialshas also been investigated for several different groups of specimens by some tests whichinclude chlorine-ion permeability resistance.The new mixtures exhibited lower compressiveand splitting-tensile than did normal RPC,which did not demonstrate brittle failure,but rathera ductile,plastic failure,low price and had the ability to absorb a large amount of plasticenergy under tensile and compressive loads.
